Topic Wiki

This is the thread for all random/general questions about Southwest. The official airline code for Southwest is WN as SW was taken by Air Namibia, but many people on the forums refer to Southwest as SW since no one talks about Air Namibia ever.

For questions about any of the SW CC's, see here.
For questions about the SW Companion Pass, see here.
For questions about auto-checkin to SW flights, see here. (Follow the wiki to learn how to set it up.)

They just expired a few days ago. Thank you very much but I have a rental, I just wanted to know if it works. I appreciate your help.

You always add it after the booking.

I figured so since there are no separate cabins shown. Do I at least get first choice with seating??

IINM you get to board early so you basically get first seat choice. best seat on a SW plane is the one seat by the exit row that has no chair in front of you so you get all that leg room. IMHO

Thanks for that. Yes, all you get is confirmed a list boarding. Wasn't with the extra 52k points. And you can get a early board check in 36 hours in advance to get on that a list for 15$.  ( I call that a better deal)

It was mentioned in the JetBlue Pointsmatch thread that you can reset the clock on JetBlue travel bank credit by booking a flight and then cancelling it (within 24 hours).

Can you reset the clock on Southwest travel credit by booking a flight and then cancelling it? I believe if you book a Wanna Get Away fare and cancel its refunded in travel credit anyway.

As long as there's availability on the flight

If you book using a credit, all travel defaults to that expiration date if you cancel. You can pay to extend the expiration date for $50 I believe.
