Topic Wiki

This is the thread for all random/general questions about Southwest. The official airline code for Southwest is WN as SW was taken by Air Namibia, but many people on the forums refer to Southwest as SW since no one talks about Air Namibia ever.

For questions about any of the SW CC's, see here.
For questions about the SW Companion Pass, see here.
For questions about auto-checkin to SW flights, see here. (Follow the wiki to learn how to set it up.)

Are there any good rapid rewards signup promo codes at the moment?

I usually only see deals for their credit card with points and referring people to the card or they'll have deals where you get 40% more if you buy/gift or transfer points. I don't think I've seen point deals for just signing up and I've been a member for years. Or maybe I just overlooked them.

I'm making an account and there's a place to put in a promo code, a quick Google search didn't bring up anything current but I figured I would ask here too.

sw points about to expire. I thought booking flights with points is considered activity but it's not. Activity is only on earned points.
So, can someone tell me what I can do to keep my points?
Need advice, asap.
thanks

Points transfer?
Don't have preferred anymore ;( So can't..

Why would that be counted as activity if using miles to book a flight didn't count as activity?

If I made a tix with SW - there's free cancellations, just need to pay the $11.50 taxes... Do you know if that would count as activity or I forfeit the miles?

Does not count to extend the mileage expiration

use their shopping portal. When u buy something u get new miles. (I think u thought that he meant for you to buy something with your miles...)

You're correct. that is what I thought he meant.
How long does it take for miles to post if I buy through the shopping portal?

Depends on the store, how quickly do you need the points to post?

Log in to your account, and look around for the shopping portal. They have many stores and many items in those stores

K, found a game code for $1.75 from newegg through the SW portal. Hope that's enough to gimme an activity.

In the event the points don't post on time or something and they end up expiring... has anyone had luck getting the points reinstated?
