Topic Wiki

This is the thread for all random/general questions about Southwest. The official airline code for Southwest is WN as SW was taken by Air Namibia, but many people on the forums refer to Southwest as SW since no one talks about Air Namibia ever.

For questions about any of the SW CC's, see here.
For questions about the SW Companion Pass, see here.
For questions about auto-checkin to SW flights, see here. (Follow the wiki to learn how to set it up.)

Or I think you can do the rapid rewards dining program. It's free and you register your debit/credit cards you use when eating out. Whenever you use the card at certain places, you earn points and can do reviews for extra points.

They may have a survey program as well which should post right away.
ETA: https://www.southwest.com/html/rapidrewards/partners/specialty/erewards.html it says it takes 4-6 weeks for points to post.

Are there any good rapid rewards signup promo codes at the moment?

Just received this email but I would need your email address.

"
Invite your friends to join Rapid Rewards by December 3, 2016, and we'll return the favor with 500 bonus points for each friend that enrolls, up to 2,000 points. We'll even give them a 250-point bonus for signing up. All you have to do is enter their email, first and last names, and we'll take care of the rest."

Is there a way to "upgrade" a ticket from Wanna Get Away to "Anytime" or "Business Select?"

Would that be seen as an "upgrade" by Chase for the Ritz Carlton Airline Credit?

You should specify which issuer you're looking for.

I book tentative flights from time to time with sw points as you can cancel up to 10 minutes before departure.

Does anyone know how sw luv vouchers and/or gift cards work?
Is there any disadvantage of using them to book and then cancelling? Does it expire sooner or lock it into a certain name?

Thank you

Wth southwest makes you bring the lap child's birth certificate to verify the child's age and issue a boarding pass? None of the other domestic carriers that I have flown on has required this.
