This is the thread for all random/general questions about Southwest. The official airline code for Southwest is WN as SW was taken by Air Namibia, but many people on the forums refer to Southwest as SW since no one talks about Air Namibia ever.

For questions about any of the SW CC's, see here.
For questions about the SW Companion Pass, see here.
For questions about auto-checkin to SW flights, see here. (Follow the wiki to learn how to set it up.)

Does SW have any night-time flights out of LGA/ISP/EWR flying westward? I don't care which city cuz it's a stop and I want to book the second leg of the trip with a different airline.

I tried numerous destination airports and none have past 4 pm departure. I would be interested in motze shabbos March 2.

LGA-MDW 8:05 PM takeoff on 3/2

If I understand you correctly - no, you cannot use gift cards or travel funds to buy the early bird. But if you have a SW preferred card you can buy early bird at the airport and they will rebate it to you up to 4x in a year.

On a Southwest flight that says "stopover - no plane change", I am allowed to off the plane and then back on? Will I loose my seat and what happens to my boarding position number?

You wont be allowed off but you can choose a better seat.

I have a "Sunday" Southwest flight and Southwest changed it and made it a stopover.
Maybe I should ask the cancel the Early Bird that I paid for then?

Sure, try.  Their customer service is usually very accomodating.

We did one of those a few years back flying from BWI to SNA and they allowed me to get off in PHX and get back on.

Thanks, did not know.
Now you're making me second guess myself lol. I remember canceling a flight just minutes before departure with SW and it was booked with points. There, I reassured myself.

It looks like Southwest has very limited availability from EWR/LGA to the Caribbean in their recently released Nov/Dec schedule (could have something to do with 737 MAX). All I've found so far is Aruba and CUN (went to CUN earlier in the year). Other places I've looked (Bahamas, Jamaica, T&C, Belize) either have no flights, or only fly Sat/Sun, and unfortunately, I can't go somewhere a full week. Need to return Wed/Thurs.

Has anyone found anything? I have a CP expiring 12/31/19 and I would really like to get one more cheap trip to the Caribbean in.

Their flights to FLL are all with pretty long stops, and are probably not worth it.

How are taxes refunded? Cash or travel credit? Want to hold a points reservation to AUA, but there's $75 of tax.

Depends how you paid. If you used points you get the points back, but if you used $$ the entire amount goes into the credit

You can't pay taxes with points. I want to know how the tax portion of a points reservation is refunded.

Ah so they don't give you back cash. Ohh well.
