Topic Wiki

This is the thread for all random/general questions about Southwest. The official airline code for Southwest is WN as SW was taken by Air Namibia, but many people on the forums refer to Southwest as SW since no one talks about Air Namibia ever.

For questions about any of the SW CC's, see here.
For questions about the SW Companion Pass, see here.
For questions about auto-checkin to SW flights, see here. (Follow the wiki to learn how to set it up.)

Noticed that the prices are dropping on the Pesach flights I previously booked. Due to the SW no charge for change fees I have been cancelling and rebooking the flights and have saved 40% on one flight (cancelled and rebooked twice).
Prices finally dropped on some of my tickets. Got back 40% on 1 set of tickets and 46% on another.
Total 40k+ points back :)

And the best part is, you don’t need to cancel and rebook, just process as change to your same flight, so keeps all the same passenger details and same confirmation number (just gives you back credit of the extra points).

Just saw from Southwest, if at least one person has A-list or A-list preferred, then all ppl on the reservation would be able to board the same time as that passenger.

With everything else going on in the world, this is their way of showing loyalty to their customers lol

Any chance that SW will extend CP since people are generally uncomfortable flying now?

Definitely a possibility. They may just make it easier to re-qualify. Worth calling and pleading your case though.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

I have travel funds that are set to expire on May 8th. Southwest said they would extend these for everyone, but mine are still showing the original date. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Is the southwest change policy still working? (The policy that didn't charge more to change  to a more expensive flight)

In NY, ISP and LGA are interchangeable.

How about bwi and phl?

I recently booked from bwi and they limited it to BWI, IAD, and Reagan.
