Topic Wiki

This is the thread for all random/general questions about Southwest. The official airline code for Southwest is WN as SW was taken by Air Namibia, but many people on the forums refer to Southwest as SW since no one talks about Air Namibia ever.

For questions about any of the SW CC's, see here.
For questions about the SW Companion Pass, see here.
For questions about auto-checkin to SW flights, see here. (Follow the wiki to learn how to set it up.)

It was great.
The last month or so they seem to be at (nearly) full capacity, which at the moment is 66%.

I emailed SWA and I'm surprised that they are refusing to extend these funds, while other funds of mine got automatically extended to sep 2022. The funds are only good for the person named and you need to finish flying by then, not just book.

I booked using a gift card but canceled within 24 hours which was to a sw travel funds voucher that expires in 1 year.

I  was wondering if anyone knows if there's a way to get refunded back to gift card instead if flight was canceled within 24 hours? (as apparently it goes to travel voucher and expires in 1 year). Always thought per regulations has to be fully refundable to original payment if within 24 hours...

Thanks!

Would I still get the $75 annual travel credit on priority card if I book a flight and cancel within 24 hrs?

I have some travel funds that are expiring in 2 weeks. i want to fly in June but SW isn't budging on the expiration date. Anyone had luck getting it extended? or are there any other tricks to work around?

Anyone know if LGA to MCO route is included in the free change policy? I'm tried booking 6/9 and change to 5/20 but it's not free

It’s more likely that free date changes are currently dead.

https://www.southwest.com/flight/routemap_dyn.html

Then check "nonstop flights only".

https://www.southwest.com/flight/routemap_dyn.html

Click list view, then put in airport filter and click nonstop flights only.

Looks like they have a non-stop on Shabbos.

This can also help you: https://www.southwest.com/air/flight-schedules/index.html

Another thing to be aware of: the non-stop between PHL-FLL is only active through Sep 4th

Anyone know details on how to change a flight without having to pay the fare difference? I am told this feature is back active again but it is not showing up for me? I booked a few months ago round trip tickets from DTW to BWI and need to change the dates but it is wanting to charge the difference in the fare.  I was under the impression that they turned this back on. Let me know.  Thanks!
