Was just notified that Citi closed ALL my CC accounts. I've been a customer for many years and have some of my oldest cards with them. They can only tell me that it was for "security reasons" and that the decision is "non-negotiable." The rest of the info, they say, will be sent to me within 7 to 10 business days. Has anyone had this before? Is Citi taking a page out of Chase's book?

All i did was apply for a third Citi Executive and open two new amex cards (with sizable CLs) some two weeks ago. Never heard of any of that being an issue for Citi.

Some large CVS purchases (back in the VR days) and some AP usage. Nothing that ever bothered Citi until now, AFAIK.

one of my relatives has a regular citi cc since '07 and a the executive, citi closed down the old regular cc and they wont say any reason for it over the phone, they just said they will send the reason by mail. in the meantime they kept the executive still open.

Can't think of anything. All they asked was if i want to move CL from another 'inactive' card to my new Executive.

i had 2 cc open with citi and was shut down on Friday. someone else i know was also shut down, both addresses in Brooklyn.
