will I have any problem getting the bonus again from SP if I closed the card 6 months ago?
I opened up a diff't chase credit card 2.5 weeks ago would they give me a problem to open another chase card so fast?

As long as you get approved for the SP, you'll get the bonus.

If you'll get approved or not, depends on your credit.

If you get approved, you get the bonus.

I just applied for the SP
and it says decision pending will let me know by mail
what does that mean? this is the first time I got that.
I always got instant approval on my other cards

Did you get rejected, or just pending?

You can ask for reconsideration if you are rejected. Explain why you want the SP (not about the points) - no foreign transaction fees, car rental coverage, etc. etc. - review the card benefits. If necessary, offer to transfer part of a different credit line, but let them tell you that they've already given you as much credit as they can before you offer that.

You can close it and always downgrade the SP to it again. You will just be losing out on the 5x quarterly categories (may not be a big deal for you).

I don't really use my Freedom just downgraded my SP to it to store my UR

If he closes his Freedom in order to get approved for the SP, will he lose all his points saved to his Freedom since for a second there he won't have any card to save the points to or will they just move it to the SP once approved?

I think someone mentioned that there is a brief period of time that the points remain "alive" for. CMIIW.
