I guess its time to start a new thread.
I just signed up for this new service:
In response to the Google voice obi shutdown, Vestalink provides a drop in replacement for Google voice for with unlimited incoming and outgoing calling for $59.99 a year, or $89.99 for 2 years. (there are some limited plans for much cheaper). You can use your existing obi device with Vestalink, they even have a Easy Setup Tool that will auto provision your Obi device. You could even stay with your GV number by having it forward to Vestalink, and they will spoof your outgoing caller ID to show your number. Signup was very smooth, they responded to my emails within 5 minutes.

A couple of nice features:
1. Outgoing faxes can be sent from their portal by attaching a file from your computer (free).
2. You can add a second phone line for an additional $24/yr. ($2/mo) You are still unable to set a separate device for the second number.
3. Once adding a second line it can be set as a dedicated fax line which will be forwarded to email at no additional charge. This can be done with the first line as well, but then it will no longer ring on your device and can no longer be used as a voice line.

they offer different options. It is cheaper when you pay for longer terms.

I never used Google voice.  I have a OBi110.  I think I hooked it up correctly, it even has a dial tone.  But it says no service.  Not working incoming or outgoing.  I emailed them, but haven't heard back yet.
Any ideas?

Can we get some feedback from the 10s of you that already signed up?
How's the quality?  Lag?  Please include in your post whether you ported a number, and if you did, whether it was with GV, or something else.

no difference in quality from gv/obi. IE no noticeable lag or anything. Fax works fine when set the machine to slower transmission.
Didn't port, forwarded from gv and spoofed the outgoing.

the dial tone means nothing. You will have one even if not connected to the internet. Was the obi configured?

Agent says prices will go up by 20% tomorrow so if you're in a trial and want to upgrade, you'll want to do that now.

Is that because of a problem of your phone, or of the app?

Do you know if the $10 charge for porting a number is also going to change tomorrow?

The porting should be free if it's from GV. https://intelafone.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/1253309-number-porting-fees.
Although they charged me, I will contact them and ask for a refund.

Wow the was the fastest refund I have received. 1 Minute after emailing them they send back the $10 refund.

Although, they weren't supposed to charge that in the first place..
It seems like they have no system in place to determine weather the port was from GV and should be free or not... so you need to ask for it...

I pressed the button for it to configure and it made me think it did it.
