I guess its time to start a new thread.
I just signed up for this new service:
In response to the Google voice obi shutdown, Vestalink provides a drop in replacement for Google voice for with unlimited incoming and outgoing calling for $59.99 a year, or $89.99 for 2 years. (there are some limited plans for much cheaper). You can use your existing obi device with Vestalink, they even have a Easy Setup Tool that will auto provision your Obi device. You could even stay with your GV number by having it forward to Vestalink, and they will spoof your outgoing caller ID to show your number. Signup was very smooth, they responded to my emails within 5 minutes.

A couple of nice features:
1. Outgoing faxes can be sent from their portal by attaching a file from your computer (free).
2. You can add a second phone line for an additional $24/yr. ($2/mo) You are still unable to set a separate device for the second number.
3. Once adding a second line it can be set as a dedicated fax line which will be forwarded to email at no additional charge. This can be done with the first line as well, but then it will no longer ring on your device and can no longer be used as a voice line.

Took me few minutes works perfectly! Only question now is how to set the second line?

I pressed the button for it to configure and it made me think it did it.
Last night I emailed them.  They answered me this afternoon.  I redid it with their notes and added steps I didn't do in my original try.
Now it works!  so I signed up for the 2 year plan.  I hope it continues to work well.  There's a 30 day cancellation policy, if I hate it.

thanks to all for your concern.

With the obi device whenever anyone calls,if I don't pick up, there's always a loud dial tone noise after the call, whether they leave a message or not. Anyone know how to get rid of that ?

How to set up two lines
1. Create two Vestalink accounts, one for each phone number to be used with the Obi202. (Ignore Vestalink's OBi Easy Setup Tool, which just mirrors the same phone number on SP1 and SP2.)
2. Log into obitalk.com and delete all SPs (SP1, SP2, etc) from the Obi202.
3. Do a factory reset on the Obi202 by dialing ***81 from a connected phone.
4. Find Obitalk's list of compatible service providers. When the E911 warning dialog appears, click the Accept button.
5. In the list of compatible service providers, click on Vestalink.
6. Select Phone 1, and deselect Phone 2, for all 3 choices (outgoing calls, incoming calls, and voicemail).
7. Select the E911 checkbox.
8. Copy the SIP credentials from your first Vestalink account to the remaining boxes. (Vestalink/Devices/Softphone/BYOD/Vestalink Sip Credentials.)
9. Click Submit.
10. Click on SP2 and repeat steps 4-9 above, selecting Phone 2 and deselecting Phone 1, and enter the SIP credentials from your second Vestalink account.
11. Go to the Obi dashboard. The status of your two phone numbers should be displayed as Registered.
12. Make test calls to confirm everything is working.

This new Obitalk template for two Vestalink numbers on the Obi202 works great. Caller ID, voicemail, E911 setup, everything works correctly for two separate lines.

Just wanted to post my own experiences.

First off, they responded to my emails very quickly.  Most of them within 20 minutes, a couple within an hour or two.
Second, the responses were detailed and easy to follow.
Last, I subscribed to the 2-year unlimited, with promotional rate.  Today, I spoke to my phone company to confirm the amount of minutes I use (as their first answer seemed off), and I realized that we had a miscommunication, and that I was using way less then I first thought.  So I emailed Vestalink asking them if they can downgrade my plan and refund some money (I explained to them my misunderstanding), and they did so; but not only that, they gave me the promotional rate.

Bikitzur, extremely happy with their customer service.

Another update:
Didn't get my Obi yet (someone bringing it for us to Israel on monday), however, I downloaded the iphone app and used the number Vestalink gave me (not a ported number) to call USA.  Quality was great and if there was a lag, maybe it was about 1 second.

Check your Google Voice settings, I've seen the forwarding rule off once without my interference.
