I guess its time to start a new thread.
I just signed up for this new service:
In response to the Google voice obi shutdown, Vestalink provides a drop in replacement for Google voice for with unlimited incoming and outgoing calling for $59.99 a year, or $89.99 for 2 years. (there are some limited plans for much cheaper). You can use your existing obi device with Vestalink, they even have a Easy Setup Tool that will auto provision your Obi device. You could even stay with your GV number by having it forward to Vestalink, and they will spoof your outgoing caller ID to show your number. Signup was very smooth, they responded to my emails within 5 minutes.

A couple of nice features:
1. Outgoing faxes can be sent from their portal by attaching a file from your computer (free).
2. You can add a second phone line for an additional $24/yr. ($2/mo) You are still unable to set a separate device for the second number.
3. Once adding a second line it can be set as a dedicated fax line which will be forwarded to email at no additional charge. This can be done with the first line as well, but then it will no longer ring on your device and can no longer be used as a voice line.

I'm having a strange issue with Vestal link.
My Caller ID name isn't showing up on home phones. It seems like there are quite a few databases providers use to show the CID Name, and while Vesta link allows you edit how you want your CID Name to appear, not all the phone services pull from the database they update with this option.
The apps like Who Are You among other are getting the update and displaying the correct CID info, however traditional land lines are not displaying my CID Name.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Edit: I have ported my number to Vesta Link.

Good idea, for the record here is their response:

A lot of phone companies cache CID name, I have heard that Verizon for example only refreshes their database every 6 months. Thanks!

My Obi110 + Vestalink is not working for the past few days.

I send them a email last night at 8PM (thru the website).

Did anyone have had such a problem?

For some weird reason calls from Lakewood (732) are not coming through. It goes straight to google voicemail.

Anyone else have problems with their phones not ringing when they get calls? I often get missed calls (notified via Google Voice) when the phone never rang.

Whenever I try testing it it rings when  call...

Yes, I was thinking that it happens when we are on the phone, ie call waiting not working?
BTW how do you get notified of missed calls from GV, from a VM?

I have it even when no one is using the phone.

It happens when I'm not on the phone. I have Vestalink forwarded to my GV. There's an option in Google Voice to be notified whenever you miss a call.

$90 a year for unlimited. That's twice the original price. & they're still calling it a promotional price which ends July 23. Wonder how high it'll go up then.

Had to reset my network.
My obi 100 has no dial tone? I tried resetting... It is on my network and can be accessed via internet but I can't add it to vestalink without a dial...
Any solutions?
