Texas Gun Club in Stafford has a very good range.
You can go to dinner at Casa in Bellaire. Other than that Houston doesn’t have anything. Keep in mind that during this time a year everyone stays indoors. It way too hot.

Depends who's coming and what they like to do. We really enjoyed NASA's Johnson Space Center, seeing Mission Control and a Saturn V and a space shuttle you can go inside of. The children's museum is excellent if you're bringing kids. We also went to the George HW Bush Presidential Library, Natural Science Museum, and Galveston to see dolphins, oil rigs, and an old mansion. Wherever you go, make sure to end the day with dinner at Genesis!

Also, we did Bush Library in Dallas. Is there a/t else in Houston?

It depends what points you have. We stayed at Homewood Suites near the Galleria for 23k Hilton points per night for a suite, and we were quite happy with the location and price.
