Getting rid of past discussions...

After posting in a topic and getting the answer I was looking for, I now want to remove that topic from the "show new replies to your posts" board, as if I'm starting from scratch and I never replied to that topic. How do i Go about removing that topic from the board?

I'm not a mod nor am I Dan yet, but:
1.  Top of page 'Profile'
2.  'Account Settings'
3.  Left bar under Modify Profile choose 'Ignore Topics Option'
4.  Then you can mark so it will not appear in your new replies list
