It only works for a small # of schools (500 total worldwide). I'm in a pretty big one, and it didn't work. I wasn't able to find a complete list anywhere.

There's something fishy going on here. I'm a student at Harvard, with a .harvard.edu email address, I didn't receive the sign up bonus. The best part is that I wrote in a complaint and they responded: "We've included the top 500 universities worldwide, but we can’t guarantee all domains are supported..." Not to boast or anything, but I think Harvard sits somewhere in the global top 500 universities...

I am, however, a phd student, so maybe that has something to do with it?

PHD candidate makes no difference, a harvard.edu email address is the same no matter what your degree is in. That is awfully strange. They did mention that they would shut down schools where students seemed to be abusing the system, that could explain it. More likely they picked enough big schools for it to seem legit and for people to spread the word but not so many as to actually cost them a lot of $$$. This would explain why they didn't bother to simply post the schools that are supported.

Here's the response I got  ::)
Quote
Hi there! The good news is this promotion has been REALLY popular, which is awesome. The bad news is it's so popular that it's gotten us a bit backed up on actually issuing the credits. If your e-mail address is eligible, you should see your credit come through in the next 3-5 business days as we work through the backlog.

That said, from some universities we've seen instances of people trying to abuse or "game" the system, and those institutions have unfortunately been disqualified. It would be great to be able to tell you which schools those are, but we don't want the abusers to know we're onto them.

So for now, I'd say your best bet is to wait until this upcoming Monday afternoon to see if a credit arrives, and if not to let me know so that we can see what the trouble is. I'm sorry about that -- I know that's not a great answer, and hate asking anyone to wait! :(

Red, where'd you see this response? You contacted them? How do I know if I qualify? I just signed up but haven't seen anything indicating $10 promo.
