I booked a room for a friend for a few nights at an SPG property using points. I was making use of a promo on my account which was giving the phone rep a hard time completing the booking, so she had to put in the booking with the hotel "manually". Thing is, she forgot to actually deduct the points from my account. I have a confirmation email from the hotel, but the points are still in the account (more than just a few days). Has this ever happened to anyone? What will happen at check-in??
