Sold Points- Buyer wants an Invoice

Hey all,

I recently sold some points and sent them to the buyer. The buyer is requesting an invoice because he wants to pay out of a business account.
I really don't want to create an invoice as it is a headache for multiple reasons.

I don't sell points a lot and the handful of times that I have, I never had to send an invoice.

Am I being unreasonable by not wanting to create and send an invoice?

Tell the buyer (nicely) that you are not a business, and don't have an invoice to give.

I definitely heard of brokers requesting invoices. Brokers run a business. It is normal to request one.

I recently downloaded an app called "Street invoice".  I haven't used it yet,  but supposedly it's very easy to create an invoice,  and hace emailed directly to the recipient.

Whats an "invoice"? just send him an email asking for X$ for the X points you sold him. Put "invoice" in the subject line.
If he dont like that he can shop elsewhere!

I am answering his question.  After the fact, if it was not stipulated before, then I stand by what I said.

To clarify- I did not sell the points to a broker. I sold the points to an individual who will use them to travel for his business

I would not give any invoice with word "points etc" -- most I would do is invoice  with simple statement "services rendered " and only if under 1099 amount -- to be 100% safe - give nothing to him
