So basically it’s a shot taken in an internal fight and Chabad is cannon-fodder/collateral damage. Thanks for clarifying.

It's a nice theory but nope. I actually took a glimpse Friday in seforim store and unlike the sensational title it's more of a specific situation. It is a tshuva from a certain dayan to a group of satmar yungerleit who are every shabbos in Ellenville where they daven at the local chabad shul. They were complaining about מחללי שבת coming to shul on shabbos with their cars, and on the Rov giving a speech in English to a mixed crowd after davening.

I really took just a quick glimpse but if that interests you I can possibly stop by, gather more details and report back.

Do they publish every teshuva to a random group of yungeleit? Also, if you read the whole thing, the maskana is that they should not have anything to do with a Chabad rabbi, because he might influence them to become Zionists.

Wow I see you got your hands on one. Is he not even addressing their question?
I rarely look at it but such a teshuva is actually ideal content for that קובץ. Contemporary somewhat controversial real life debatable matters.

Thanks, I’m really just curious. The title on the cover implies it’s a general question: “Is one allowed to Daven at a Chabad House?”.

I'm certain that dayan himself would daven at a chabad house when he's abroad. Would he daven בקביעות at a chabad house? I'm sure not.

That was of course the authentic Lubavitch approach. No-one was a stronger fighter of the Zionist movement than the Rebbe the Rashab. I'm certain that dayan himself would daven at a chabad house when he's abroad. Would he daven בקביעות at a chabad house? I'm sure not.

He paskens that you are not allowed to daven within 4 amos of a non-frum yid...

On the other hand, he writes that they are allowed to rent space in the shul for their own minyan if they deal with the (non-frum) president, but not if they are renting from the Chabad rabbi...

ETA: The view he takes of Chabad is not that of the vast majority of Satmar. Most of the yungeleit continued to daven in the shul even after this tshuva. The Chabad rabbi was asked to speak to the bochurim of a Satmar mesivta, and did so.

I guess it's good that I'm not a Chabad Rabbi (not sure how I would be labeled), or else they might be banned from talking to me because I might make them appear to be Zionists if compared to me.
