I'm sure his tune will change if he can figure out how to make money for his pet projects off this like he does from the cash registers (speeding, red-light and bus lane cameras). I guess when it brings in that kind of revenue it's OK to have machines do the "jobs of New Yorkers" (or maybe they don't count because many NYC cops might not call the city home...)
