not having money brings out the bad midos in people. it doesnt mean she never was a faithful wife or that she didnt love him, it can just mean that she is suffering and instead of having emuna she blames her husband.

Husbands reveal their true nature when the wife gets sick.

same as above. when a husband is not being cared for, he needs to see it as min hashamayim. if he doesnt, he may come to look elsewhere instead of caring for his wife.

Brothers reveal their true nature when the parents die and legacy is discussed.

"where there's a will, theres a fight..." really they love each other, the moneys getting in the way of the true love...

Friends reveal their true nature when you lend them.

Technically speaking “pretty random” is an oxymoron. Once there’s bias it isn’t random, and once it’s “pretty random” (I’m interpreting that to mean approximately random?) then it isn’t actually random.

Not really. There can be many other factors that can influence the ability to lend. However once a loan was made, what goes on afterwards reveals levels of friendship and/or מענטשליכקייט. (In a similar way to insider stock selling being less of an indication of the company health, than insider buying).
