I've been to restaurants where others have had sheva brochos without renting out the whole place.

You may also have been to one at an airport. That doesn't really show anything. Either way that is a clear seuda in honor of the wedding. I don't know what actually happened here and therefore didn't comment.

Am I just not seeing her?  There's usually a bit of mixing and pouring and a cup given to the chosson and the kallah, but all I see is him guzzling almost the whole cup, then pouring a bit off - looks like it's for hoodie-guy.

I’m pretty adept at Google and didn’t know all of these. Even reading these I don’t quite understand the purpose of ~ and | as I figured Googles algorithms already have this built-in contextually.
