MR to Krisflyer
« on: May 25, 2014, 04:18:56 AM »
Hey everyone,

I've heard most people say that MR points transfer to Krisflyer in under 24hrs. Well, I tried transferring from UR and MR over two days ago and they still aren't in my account. What's my best option for trying to expedite the points transfer? I have an award in mind and want to book it white I can.

Thanks!

I had the same scenario recently, I called up Krisflyer and was asked for the transfer reference no. but Amex had no idea of any such number.
But after going back and forth between them, it sounded like SQ wasn't able to expedite it anyway.

What ended up happening? How long did it take to get your points?

I know usually it can take around 1-2 days. But on the weekend can possibly take a bit longer.

I called up Krisflyer and was asked for the transfer reference no.
They always ask for it when I convince them to put seats on hold for me.
I usually give them meshug613 - it always worked.

I had to use some convincing skills to get them to put seats on hold, but they said they can only do it on their own metal, not on partners,
Were they right on that?

Official policy is not to hold partners, but I did it twice in the past 2 weeks.

I've tried twice to put singapore flights on hold with no luck. Any help with my wording would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Also, points still aren't here. Almost at 3 days

My UR points transferred last night. Still waiting for MR points to go through. This is getting tedious.

Just spoke to the SQ rep to see how much would it be to go in First/suite from JFk-FRA and then to TLV and wasn't happy the amount of money it will cost >:( first their is no 15% discount if booked over the phone so the Ticket cost 150K miles plus the Taxes and fuel surcharges were over $1000 :(!

Fly SQ F JFK-FRA for 57K with $300. Then take LY J for 30k with no YQ.

You're saving your miles, and getting real J FRA-TLV.

Yes it looks like 2 one way Tickets from SQ in First/Suits are less in taxes and fuel surcharges then round trip, but the Taxes and fuel surcharges from FRA-TLV is about $100 something and 30K is wroth approximately $450 so rather just buy a regular Ticket for $473 that looks like the amount from FRA-TLV all year round.
