Hotel in between NY and Toronto

Anybody know of a good Hotel in between NY and Toronto. I will be driving and would like to stop for the night. The only Hotel that is available on SPG is a Sheraton and they do not allow you to combine points and cash.

I do the drive all the time and the best option for me is the Crowne Plaza (formerly Rennaissance) Syracuse. Right off I-81. You usually can get it for $69 a.i. using priceline name your own price. It's about halfway to/from Toronto. No points though

Not sure its on the way from NJ, but I stayed in the Hyatt Rochester. It was very nice.

I think I got it for $70 on priceline, mid February.
