I must be from another planet because even in this thread things are getting mixed up.  :)
Lets see if we can see where we went wrong.
How in the world do I go about figuring that one out? Do I need to rip out all the sheetrock for this? I never realized there are so many options for 3 way switch wiring.
Dont bother. Just use trial and error and you'll get the wires right. Even if you dont have a multi meter amd cant identify the line from the neutral there are still only 6 possible ways to make the connections at the switch
My only fear is running 110V rather than 24V.
Where is the 24V coming from? There should be no 24V there unless I am missing something.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

You missed my other (unrelated) question.

You quoted the switch question and responded with: My only fear is running 110V rather than 24V.
Either way we are good and just blame me as usual.  ;)

Did you get anywhere with your switch? Have model for switch? I have free time watching the Hawks.

But if that is the case, why is there such a fuss about a C wire? Couldn't one just connect to any ground?
Doesn't C wire supply constant power?

You are right. I missed that. I confused myself by asking two questions concurrently. My bad.

That is what I always thought. But some online reading seems to indicate otherwise.

Where did this quote come from?

Quote
Yellow/Y is the AC compressor.
White/W is the Heating element
Green/G runs the fan.
Blue or Black/C should be a ground and will be used by both Rh and Rc, and apparently your thermostat.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Comments at:

https://smartthermostatguide.com/thermostat-c-wire-explained/

From what I gather Rc is 24VAC for cooling, RH is 24VAC for heating. Circuit can bet closed with either of Y, W, or G, for AC compressor, heating, or fan (respectively) the C wire allows for a closed circuit and powering the Thermostat even when none of those are running.

This gets confusing. There is no ground in this circuit. So to your earlier question you just can't use a ground.
The transformer used to supply the 24V is an isolation transformer (pretty much the standard now). It is used to isolate it from the 110V circuit.
This diagram lays it all out. If you want to get into it I can explain it.  :)

Installing a simple single lamp light fixture. 2 questions:
1- Both wires on the fixture are clear coated and identical, which one goes to the black and which one to the white, perhaps no difference in this case?
2- Do I need to bother with the ground wire or can I just cut it off?

The ground wire must be connected to the box and look very closely you might see a white string in one of the two clear wires

No white string, just one has a print and other doesn't.

Why not take a wire tester to see which one is alive? Or use a multi meter?

Talking to a layman, don't have any of these at home. But I managed anyways. Thanks
