I have a 3 way with a 7 day timer on one end (not a smart switch). There is a delay when turning on the light from the regular switch but no delay when turning it off. When I turn it on, I can hear the other end click on.

I switched some pool lights and when I turned it on it lit up for a couple seconds then went black with all my other pool lights.

Switched the breaker on/off went back on for a second then back off.

Anyone know what can be the problem?

It's tripping the breaker?
Perhaps it's drawing to much power or there's a wiring fault

If I wanted to run a c wire from my argo zone control to my thermostat what wire am I looking for?
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

I would put it where I circled in orange

I actually have the same exact zone controller (mine are connected to 2 Nest Thermostats), the common wire only needs to be connected to the top terminal you circled (the one that has the white wire that says "common").

For reference this is how mine looks

IINM 18 gauge.
Once your running the wire, minds well run an 18/5 like this (a very expensive link probably cheaper at a hardware store)

18 gauge "thermostat" wire. If you are replacing your existing wire then you need minimum 18/3, if you will just run a new wire but leave existing wire connected then you can technically get away with 18/2 but I wouldn't recommend it as its likely easier to just pull the old one out to feed the new one in its place (like strip/tape it on to old wire and then pull it if you have access to where it goes into the wall (basement or attic), that assumes no staples inside wall holding it tight. For best future proof you'd likely want 18/5 since that will give you free conductors if you ever want to hook up something else like separate fan control, support heat & cool mode, etc.

You'd need to figure how long a wire you'd need. You can buy on Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's etc. typically searching for "thermostat wire" would give you the results you want and then just figure out the length you need and number of conductors (18/2, 18/3, 18/5), technically any 18 gauge wire would be sufficient but "thermostat wire" will be the number of conductor options you want (most other wires would be sold as 18/2, 18/4, etc vs thermostat is sold with 18/3 & 18/5 options).

Had issues with my electronics after a recent thunderstorm/internet outage, so I bought a proper surge protector (especially to also protect the incoming coax cable). When I plug it in, there's an indicator light labeled 'not grounded' that turns red. I'm assuming that indicates the ground is not installed/connected properly in the outlet itself? The outlet is in my office, which was recently constructed in a formerly unfinished space. The contractor who did everything is not an electrician and did the wiring himself. I would say most of  the work he did was just okay at best, so it wouldn't surprise me if he messed it up. If that's the case, how do I go about fixing it?

Take the outlet cover off and take pictures, then post. Collectively we are pretty good at solving these issues.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Sounds like it might be worthwhile to have an electrician come and look at his work, and fix any issues, for many reasons

I have a switch in my enclosed patio that controls all the electricity outside (flood lights, outlets, awning etc) and after the rain I noticed the whole patio power was out. I reset the breaker, now if I hit the switch for all the outside power it immediately trips the breaker. If I keep that switch off I still have power in my patio. Any advice on how to track down the problem. Tia

Turn the breaker off until you get this fixed. You don't want anyone getting shocked or worse.
ETA: I misread your post. Your breaker supplies power to patio and all outside patio outlets? Switch controls just the outside patio outlets?

Is your breaker AFCI? The breaker trip might be a feaure telling you that moisture was detected

If there is power with the switch off where there used to only be power with the switch on, that's something you should definitely check out. Otherwise I'd assume it's a short or this

there is power from that breaker until I use the specific switch that controls the outdoor power. Once I tried to put that switch on, the whole fuse blows, but if the switches off, and I turned the breaker on all the power on the inside works until I tried, turning on the outdoor power.

You already said that, and if you could just answer my question or take a pic of that breaker we could confirm my theory. When the switch is off, there is no leak in current, so tripping when you flip the switch fits with what an AFCI is designed to do

Are AFCI commonly used? Would they detect a ground fault like a GFCI?
ETA: Looks like they are not GFCI unless labeled as so.
