Something like this should solve your problem.
I don't think it will.  It looks to me, that when you plug that extension cord into an upper outlet, it would block the lower outlet from being accessed.

It won't. The whole point is that it would swivel out of the way.

I didn't realize the circle meant that it swiveled.  Nifty!

I dont think they make them anymore but i found one on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Eagle-Cooper-646-2V-BOX-GFCI-Duplex-Receptacle-Ivory-NIB-/181565648851?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
I thought I remembered seeing such a thing in a home or building somewhere, but after doing some Google image searches and scrolling through all the pictures looking for it, I did not see it at all. The picture I posted was the result of my editing one of the pictures that my Google search returned, just to show what I was looking for. Your reply was very helpful. Now I know it was not a figment of my imagination. Now that I see a model number, I see some other ebay sellers also have it, so I will try to buy one. Thanks.

want to hardwire a surveillance camera directly to the breaker, is there any reason at all why I shouldn't?

Do you mean a surveillance camera?

CCTV cameras don't get wired to the breaker. They are low voltage, you would need a receptacle with a 12V converter.

I'm not that much of a beginner
I wouldn't mess around with breakers if I was. Either way its done

Anybody know if there's a way to change this terminal? Or do I have to change the whole panel? (I can't find a replacement bar because it's a really old box)

I have three switches at my front door (front hall, outside, and upstairs lights). All work other than the front hall. Bulbs are good. Is there a problem with:

A. My switch
B. My light fixture
C. My wiring
D. Not enough information
If you don't care why would you comment?
