Love the fixture. Where did you pick up such a fixture from?

 Looks great! Nice neat wiring.
Thanks.
My sister got it from aliexpress

This is the wiring currently in the ceiling.

Does it matter which wire I connect to which?
Also it seems like there's a ground wire which this fixture doesn't seem to have. What do I do with that?

Also the bracket that it comes with can hold it up? I don't think it's too heavy maybe 25 lbs

You're working with a plastic box and a fixture that's not UL listed. The question is if the plastic box could hold the fixture, which if it's actually 25 lb I highly doubt it

Actually I just weighed the light. I'm way off. It's 8 lbs. Plus light bulbs will make it 9lbs total

If the box is properly mounted it won't go anywhere, the question is if the holes for the screw will be able to hold 25 lb?

You should be fine with 8-9lbs.

Let's see the pics when job is done.

What should I do with the ground wire?
Which color (brown or blue) should I connect to the black wire in the ceiling?

The fixture still works if you reverse the wires, but the socket sleeve will be hot, and anyone who touches it while changing a bulb can get a shock. When wired correctly, the socket sleeve is neutral and only the small metal tab at the base of the socket is hot.

In regards to the ground.

if you're concerned you can drill a hole, put a screw and wrap the wire around the screw on the fixture.

Or you can wait for one of the electricians on this forum to respond.

what metal components are there to the fixture? One of those nuts connecting the arm should have a ground wire attached to it.

Electrician came and hung it up at the end. I didn't want to mess around with the wiring.

Also we decided to take off the gray part of the main stem. That way the shades can be facing down like it's supposed to and I happen to like the way it looks better.

just have to get more lightbulbs

So which wire did he put where ? And what did he do with the ground?

I would have put whichever wire wherever, and capped off the ground.

or if you really wanted to make sure you can take a multimeter and test to see if there's no positive charge when touching a grounded box and the socket.

 But looks great!

If you have a multimeter, you may as well test continuity from the bulb socket base to the blue and brown wires to see which you should connect to the hot before you connect anything to the ceiling.

Wow that's genius. Much easier way to test vs doing it when it's alive.

You can buy a replacement remote. Almost always under $20.

They are universal regardless of brand? How do you sync the remote to the fixture?

Find your remote online or get one with receiver also. The homedepot has a receiver.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

There are both universal and brand-specific replacements. If you can get a replacement for your brand, that's probably the easier route.
