Totally useless cards, may as well get an amazon GC which has no fees anyway
What's the easiest or even not so easy way to cash out a vanilla visa debit gift card?
I got one as a gift and rather then be busy keeping track of the balance I want to just cash it out but so far everything I've tried has failed. Google says you can load it into paypal or venmo and transfer it that way but both of those no longer allow anonymous cards. I even tried donating the full amount to a few different tzedaka orgs but they too did not allow it, the transaction keeps getting declined. I thought at first something was wrong with the card itself but when I check the balance on vanillagift.com it's all good and active.
So, I'm truly stuck short of going to a physical store but even then, I don't know what I would get to make it worth it.
