most of the time cheaper prices means cheaper quality/less mehudar. very rarely will you find a sale where a $100 mezuza is on sale for $80

When moving from one house to another. If I am selling to a yid and buying from a goy. Can I take my mezuzahs with me or must I leave them behind and buy new ones?

You have to leave them behind but you can charge the new owners for them (or they can give them to you instead).

You must offer to sell them to the purchaser at market rate

its brought down, that bad things happen for taking down mezuzot when your not supposed to .

You have to be very careful buying a mezuza. It's not enough that it looks nice. A mezuza has to be written in order so if there is a mistake and the sofer doesn't notice it until later, everything from that point on has to be erased. I can imagine a scenario where two letters are slightly touching and a less than scrupulous sofer will simply scratch a drop of ink from between them. The mezuza will look great but is completely pasul and there is no way to know. You have to buy from a reputable sofer!!!
