The primary system in this country needlessly polarises congress.
Do we still have a congress ? Haven't heard from them since last election.

The GOP had their chance with McCain & Romney. Very far from tea party material. Didn't work. They want the senate more than the WH
really now..

Find me one republican who won't offer you their left arm for the WH.

As for McCain, he ran at a time when Americans were weary with bush/republican leadership & wanted a change,
& Romney was stam a douch who bought the candidacy, no one ever liked him

It's still better than the European parliamentary system. Those governments get nothing done and collapse over every small item.

Mostly true, though in swing districts, it has an opposite effect.

If you control the house & senate you could pass anything you want. What's Cantor done lately anyway ?

True but the above is why I am disappointed. I find it strange that a professor of economics is anti immigration reform

With the U3 unemployment rate as it is now?
Do you know the downward pull on wages bringing in another 15 million workers is?

Don't know the exact number off hand, but one of the biggest takeaways from 2012 was the stunning amount of young blacks voters Romney got.
Many attribute this to his (alleged anyway) hard stance on deportations.

True, but there's only so much the president could veto before he starts looking like an idiot.

Yes, that is one opinion.

There are probably hundreds on articles like that some arguing yes, some no.

Did you know that there are two sides to most policy problems?
