None of the credit monitoring services lower your credit when you check it.

Are you sure about that? Several people told me that it does. I always found that idea strange though. Like why would just checking lower it?

i think she's referring to the hit from a hard pull. i assume any way you check would do that...

Only hard pulls/inquiries show up on your credit report. I've never seen an inquiry from a credit monitoring service (e.g. myFico, CreditKarma, Citi dentityMonitor etc.)

i think she's referring to the hit from a hard pull. i assume any way you check would do that...

I'm quite sure such inquiries aren't reported.
