NPR - is like the NY  Times -- need a little more fox news to counter them

I think many feel very strong about exchanging killers for those who are kidnapped -- and maybe  many on Dans think i am wrong --- i think killers do no deserve to live--- I think the only thing hamas etc respect is strength and any weakness they will exploit-- last time they took that young solider --Israel gave up  HUGE NUMBER OF killers --after that what do u expect -- the appetite is now opened --

I was speaking today to my Jordanian calculus professor, I was shocked by the magnitude of distortion that the Arab media engages in:

First he tells me how we are not sure where the boys are as no organization has claimed responsibility. He strongly entertained the idea that the IDF is holding the somewhere in order to get back at Hamas.

Secondly, he believes that they were all soldiers in the army and therefore deserve to be punished By Hamas, which is suffering deeply at the hands of Israel. I told him that I can show you pictures of these boys where you can clearly see that they are not even 18, "they are old pictures" he told me.

He also did not understand what's the big deal. "There are," according to him, "at least 100,000 Palestinians in Israeli prisons, and you are concerned about three people!?"

This conversation went on and on, from who does Har Habayis belong to, to the rational behind a suicide bomber, to Israel's status in the world and boatload of excessive condemnations from the UN; I am just totally shocked how a normal and civilized person can see things so radically different.
