Road Trip Ideas
« on: January 07, 2014, 12:18:11 AM »
Hey,
I am planning a road trip from NYC to Pittsburg PA sleepover,
Then continue to Columbus Ohio, spend the day,
Then hit the road to Cincinnati, sleepover,
Then drive back through west Virginia.
Any one has any tips?

Please if you have any great road trip experiences,
Please share then here.

Real road trip I am saving for summer.
Hit the road to Virginia, then drive the famous Blue Ridge Parkway.
Amazing experience to try

Yep, really incredible. Beautiful. So much to do there. You have Monticello, Virginia Beach, take the Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel - out of site. Depending on where you're coming from and if you have kids you can hit Busch Gardens. We had a really great time there a number of years ago with our kids. Enjoy.

When we went to Virginia from DC we passed an amusement park before getting to Busch Gardens and went to that one (Don't remember the name). It was years ago but may still be around. The advantage was my kids got on rides faster, it was a smaller place, and was very enjoyable. Busch Gardens is packed in the summer. Just an idea.

When you do Colonial Williamsburg, work on having the kids understand the basic explanations.  It makes it exciting.  If it's just bla, bla, they'll get bored.  Look for any activities they can try.  and guns shooting demonstrations.
