Cheap cell phone plan for teen

Need a cheap plan without data for my teen. Previously had Metro PCS but they don't seem to offer plan without data anymore. Any ideas?

Are Metro PCS and Simple Mobile still the best non-contract phones out there? Someone I know needs a cell phone for 2 months this upcoming summer.

Any suggestions?

They both use tmobile service so make sure that's good for them. Virgin mobile also has 25 talk n text now.
