typical award availibility is tlv-amm-dbx-syd
however if you lets say PUTPAC then you can get tlv-bkk via elal, and then pick up from there Qantas to syd, or anything from the fareast,
for the same price you pay one way from tlv-usa in economy you get this in business.

Yup, an amazing deal, one of the best out there.
DXB-SYD had F available the few times I had checked, although the connections in AMM might be a pain.

If I were to fly it, I'd likely try going through HKG, and then fly Qantas or Cathay.

AA doesn't allow stopovers, so that shouldn't be much of an issue unless you're concerned about delays.
