Why didn't you do it online?
was on the road and had no computer. I've done it before like this didn't see the problem.

Kudos to them doing that. This was long overdue.

The more airlines and banks choke the black market, the more we - legitimate users - will benefit.
Less miles buyers = more award space for us.

Why do you guys think there's no award seats ever available on UA's direct EWR-TLV flight? Not because UA is antisemitic, its because they grab it before we can.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

On a much lower level, a lot of people in this game are here to make money and not to actually use the points. I myself started that way but now I save most of my points.

First of all: No.
Its impossible for a someone with a wife and kids to travel as much as the amount of points he's able to accumulate.

Number two: most end users are not skilled award bookers.
So most of the miles in the market will be spent on things like 50k RT Standard Awards NYC-IAD. Yay, they saved $97.
Leaving the good inventory for us.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Most people who come there as first timers don't get away with too much.
Unless that attracts them to DDMS or DDF.

And now, that's NOT true.

Ok, new theory.

Maybe this has nothing to do with the airlines or Amex cracking down, but merely as a way to clamp down on actual fraud of people transferring out without authorization.
The (only) anecdotal evidence for this is that they recently started sending out fraud alert emails every time you linked a new account.

Thoughts?
