Hmm, I'm not so sure that looking after the house and kids is considered מלאכת נשים

I took my kids to a babysitter in her house.  Her retired husband was warmer with the kids and played with them better than she did. ( Didn't stay with her too long.)

Can I ask you a question. After a day of watching one kid, do you feel accomplished? And why you a stay at home dad?
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

Playing with kids is one thing. Being responsible for them and the house all day, every day is another.

I'm not a stay at home dad, but for two years I watched my kids every Sunday while my wife went to college. (Sunday college).

Was not easy, but somehow once you know they are your responsibility for the whole day, you become a lot more patient and less anxious about when your wife is going to come home to "relieve" you.

I kind of agree with the "מלאכת נשים" comment, but it seems like in today's day and age, many נשים are not either cut out for it.

+1 It's a selfless job, and I see as well many women not having in them to give that much.

My mother works in a preschool and you should see the non working mother's who go crazy when there is a vacation day and 'what are they gonna do with their kids all day'.

With the ever increasing amount of נשים that have zero patience for their kids, I might have to say that it's not anymore "exclusively" מלאכת נשים.

True, but it's always easier to watch someone else's kids in a school environment. It's your own kids at home that drive you insane. (You can confirm this with your mom.)

In todays society many women are professionals. Therefore one parent needs to be home with the kids it maybe a better financial decision for the mom to work if she has a better job.

It could be a very different feeling knowing that this is your responsibility, to take care of the kids and home.
