Ok I see your point.
Lets reword the question.
What would be the best company to use for a one way rental sometime this week from toronto-nyc. Am willing to use cdp and coupon codes.

(better? :))

I'll take a look.
Although I thought it wouldn't be such a bad idea to ahve a one way rental thread, as they can be very different to regular car rentals.

I'm doing it next week in California and I found that National/Alamo was the best as they didn't have crazy drop fees. But here it looks like you are talking about dropping it off in another country....that could be a whole other story.

Be careful with the wording when booking a one way. I had with hertz once they want to charge me per mile.

Good point. Mine happens to be unlimited miles. But not all one way rentals are.

If you can get National free day passes that would be best. You can use up to 3 on a single reservation. Works for 1 way rentals.
I'm not sure about the Canada part, but it's worth looking into.

ETA: I just checked JFK-YYZ and it works. You need to change the rate options to the more expensive one that comes with unlimited mileage.

Thanks - do you have any for sale? I think we may have met in LHR switching terminals in November on the way back from TLV.

Sorry I don't have any. Check the thread I linked to, that's where people are selling them.

I need to rent a car from fallsburg to toronto. The only rental car in the area is enterprise which has cars available but says they're sold out for one way rentals. What would happen if I reserved it as a regular rental and just returned it in Toronto?  Would they just tack on the one way fee or could other issues come up?

I don't want to drive an hour each way to go to a different branch.
