Many times there’s nothing more to go on until they have the suspect in custody. Had he made a threat at a specific shul you can be sure it would’ve been evacuated & staked out.
They did a good job with the warning & an excellent job of getting him lightning quick. Question now is how long they can actually keep him off the streets.

This is not an exact science. If you don't trust the FBI in these situations, then just ignore them.

I did ignore them personally but it does bother me seeing some family/friends overly worried.
