chinese auction

Has anyone ever heard of one organization making more then one simultaneous chinese auctions (only one set of prizes) basically have one main hub, and then the other places have food door prizes but no physical prizes? If the question isn't clear feel free to ask questions on me please. It is very important that I find out the answer to this asap thanx

I've heard it with raffles, but people that hope to win, aren't too excited.

Most orginazations that make raffles put out a booklet with pictures of the prizes, and put pics on a website where you can enter online/fax/call in order.  That is basically the same thing that you are describing! They want to get the maximum amount of people to buy.
As an aside, I won a Chinese auction last night worth around $500 that I bought a $10 ticket for!!

I haven't seen one where all the participating places have "an event" (food, door prizes etc), but I have seen multiple mosdos have one on-line.
