I'm just trying to follow along. So you plan on giving the extra money over $5,000 back to them or to the people who have been scammed?

If the person doesn't feel right about honoring a contract that was never signed (see the person who only got a part because they claimed they didn't get the points on all the cards), he can give them 5000 from the 20k he could make by selling them to cancel the non existent contract.

Anyway, at this point you are aware that they are going to commit fraud (refundables) on the cards. Are you going to allow them to go ahead and do that? Are you going to lie and claim ignorance down the line if needed? Are you any better than these guys who you are going nuts about for stealing, scamming and committing fraud?

Some clarifications are needed, "I" am not the one having any problem, just trying to help a friend. I do my sign up and spending legitimately (I wish I din't have to ) The guy in question doesn't mind getting only 5k, but he wants to make sure he's getting them unlike some people have been reporting.
 Just out of curiosity, what would you recommend? Other than saying to not lock them out you are not providing much input.

I would probably inform Amex that there is a security issue with my account and want them to only give access with a call-in password. Would do legitimate spend, make the necessary points, use it, and then figure out with a Rav how and what to pay the people who opened these accounts.

Think of a close friend or family member that you really trust that can put some money on your card and pay you right away...be careful with this too.

I doubt that would help, they have way too much info.

Changing the card number, email, phone number, billing address, and security pin will cripple them. You can even change the name on the card as well. For example, Abraham to Avraham or Abe, Joseph to Yosef...

These guy seem to be pros, I wouldn't mess with them. Once one signed up with them and they did all the work, to suddenly have qualms when they have completed all the spend and the points are in your account...

Wouldn't play with fire or law... there's serious fraud involved and would never risk that.
