Half of the fares that they show for TK isn't available anywhere else, when I put it into bookwithmatrix the price jumps.

Certain airlines have phantom availability showing pretty often.

He told me something about overbooking but I thought he meant that the flight is overbooked.
What is this to overbook a fare, how does this work?

Its basically  a scam where the TA books a sold out fare class, aka overbooks

You can only do it on some airlines and get away with it, I guess TK is one of those
