On matrix it always shows for me including tax. In fact it is a rule that they must post it.

Sorry for getting in the middle of this.
But I read that here some people find help.
I'm from Chile and want to buy a ticket from SCL to SFO in June 8 and coming back in June 15.
In ITA Matrix I found lots of flight form 700USD And I'm specially interesten in one that has a stop in Mex.
Can you help me buying that or finding in Orbitz? Since I only see from 1400 USD in here.

ITA Matrix frequently gives results that are not available for purchase.

Okay, this is really ridiculous. Is it just me, or has anyone else who uses Matrix on a regular basis noticed that lately, their results are inaccurate more often than not?! And it's not like the ticket "just sold out a minute ago" like Orbitz et al, either. Very often, not only is the the segment not available in the fare class Matrix shows, but it isn't available in the next one, either... or the next one, or the next one, or the next one! This is NOT an exaggeration - there have been MANY TIMES that Matrix was off by up to five fare classes (or more)!!!!

I don't get it. If Sabre/Amadeus/Galileo/WorldSpan can do it, if KVS and ExpertFlyer can do it, if Kayak, Orbitz, Travelocity, Expedia and virtually every other OTA under the sun can do it... why the heck can't Matrix stop showing flights that aren't bookable??!! Once in a while is excusable, but to show phantom availability on a consistent basis... it's just so ridiculous, I find Matrix to be almost unusable at this point! Which really sucks, since it has the most powerful search options.

I wonder the same. If I had to guess ITA does not have a direct connect to the airlines that it is returning the phantom results from and Orbitz uses ITA and they have the same problem.

IME Orbitz is not half as bad as Matrix.

Make you are searching with the correct city of ticketing/purchase.

I would assume ITA doesn't correctly exclude fares that are available but not bookable because of ticketing deadlines.
