to LHR to AUH on EY apartments?
Possibly. Though i would probably need a destination past AUH, as i don't think i would chose that as a designated vacation.

Maybe route to MLE that way.

What's your plan?  Taking a family vacation?  I think this is the best BA award for adventure travel.  I definitely want to do this route but never stepped up to the plate.

We're taking a fractional family vacation. My wife and our oldest and I will be traveling; the younger ones will be off to summer camp.  This will be the only J class segment of our trip.  We'll hop to AMS, then to TLV for an extended Shabbos weekend (and also have one night at the Waldorf Astoria, where I have a free night certificate), then back for a few days in London before heading home via FRA to BOS.

This trip was inspired by all the great people and the things they write on the Forum...was recalling in particular @Yehuda last year.  Does that mean I will need to file at TR? ;)

Does anyone have working number for ba?
I'm calling this 1 800-452-1201 (ext1,1) and getting busy tone.

Also if ua isn't showing avail (looking for jfk/bos-dub 4/16 or 19) does that mean not even worth a call to ba?

IMO DUB-ZRH-TLV on LX for 25k SQ points is about as good as you'll get. Keep in mind that first leg is on an A321, which doesn't have a true J class.

Or, if you want to get more creative and have time, you could do DUB/LHR-AUH/DXB-AMM

So which would you prefer? A connection on 2 definite A321s, or a probably A330/40 with the possibility of an equipment change.

LOVE YOU GUYS!
I've been waiting on the availability for a month and a half now. Just booked BOS-DUB June 21st in J. Going for a friends wedding.

AH, and I verified only 5 seats across the aisle. New business class!

At least when used for Israel, I don't see this as a *great* deal.

Assuming one leaves from NYC:

NYC-DUB-ZRH-TLV, so two stops for 40K BA + 25K SQ +YQ. So 65K for J.

Compare that to 1) EWR-TLV non-stop for 70K UA, no YQ, 2) NYC-Europe-TLV, one stop, 80K UA, no YQ.

Personally, I'd gladly pay an extra 5K for non-stop (especially since I'd likely make all or most of it back by not paying any YQ), and I'd probably also pay 15K to have lie-flat the entire way, or at least cut out a stop and have a longer main segment in lie-flat.

im trying to decide if i should book it.
if they were the same price i would go for a stopover as i like getting out for a day and checking out new places. but maybe JFK-BOS-DUB-ZRH-TLV is a little much. it would be a total of 54500 miles plus around 200 PP though not every segment is J.
i would be flying with an infant so it helps that the first leg is only 10% of the miles. any input?

IF you're gonna spend some time in DUB, then it may be worth it. If this is for a flight to Israel, there's no way I'd do three stops, especially with kids.
