Booking Aer Lingus BOS - DUB
« on: July 02, 2014, 10:24:03 PM »
Hey everyone,

I've been trying to find availability on Aer Lingus business from BOS to DUB or Shannon but haven't seen ANY flights on United or BA. Is there another way to search for these? I want to use the BA sweet spot.

Thanks!

Is expertflyer or Qantas availability reliable for Aer Lingus? I'm seeing very little business class availability online from BOS or JFK.

I think UA is now displaying Aer Lingus availability.

Yup, thanks. Damn, I could have sworn I saw june business availability a few days ago. Now very few dates from NYC and nothing from BOS. July is great though.

I just booked three BOS-DUB J class award tickets on 7/27. Two tickets on the 6PM flight and one on the 9PM flight.  For anyone interested, there seems to be availability for perhaps another seat on the 9PM 7/27 flight and several seats on 7/28.  Hope someone else can enjoy...I'm really looking forward to this!

Why not J? I noticed today availability is amazing in J. Some flights have 9 seats, which is unheard of. Must be a glitch, like new flights were added and they didn't capacity control award bookings. Keep in mind that rates go up in a month for premium classes.

I wish there were a third seat on the flight I booked months ago. My 9 month old would appreciate a bed. Mayb it's a good thing they didn't open up more seats that day. More of a chance the flight will have empty J seats.

Does BA actually see all the space though?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Haven't  called, but its searchable on UA and EF, so I'd be optimistic. Halloween DO?

I wonder if the new wide-open availability in J is due to their reconfiguring the J class to their "new business class"?

I made my bookings today via BA, and the agent could see 3 seats on 7/27 and on 7/28 (that's all I looked for).

I was thinking that, but am not sure. It wasn't as available when they started operating the new J. I've been checking often to see if another seat opens on my flight (which didn't happen :( ).

Any good mileage "hops" from DUB that would be a good redemption in a premium cabin?

What's your plan?  Taking a family vacation?  I think this is the best BA award for adventure travel.  I definitely want to do this route but never stepped up to the plate.
