Getting the suitcase at a stopover

Im flying Air France from NY to Paris but my ticket is a NY TLV with a stop over in Paris , how can i get my suitcase in Paris (which is a stopover)

You're going to need to ask them at check-in in NY only to tag it to CDG. People have reported that explaining that there is something in your bag that you need to use during the stopover has worked... but don't let them tag your bag to TLV or it won't come out the carousel.

i had a 3 hour stopover in LHR and desk agent there said they can get the suitcase to come out if needed

I checked my suitcases till TLV lets see what happen

I did it in US. Dont know the policy in Europe.

In the US you must pick up your luggage no matter what, it's a different story.

Not a pb, I did it on Air France on a Tel-Aviv to NYC with a stopover in Paris.
When you arrive in Paris, go to the suitcase booth right before going thru customs.
It will take about an hour but u should be able to get your bags.

I did this about 2y ago and was also able to rebook the segment Paris - NYC for the next day with NO FEE!!

New policy with Air France as they figured that people would book a flight from europ with a stop over in Paris and go off in Paris (it sometime cost cheaper)
So since a year ago if you want to get your vags in Paris is $370 a person

What i was refering too was doing a ticket FROM the US to the US with a stopover. During the stopover i got my bag.

I wouldnt rely on it. The airlines will get suspicious when all the sudden thousands of passengers need medication

Officially,  you're not supposed to check in medication. More than likely is that they will tell you to take it out.
