Interesting to note that i tried booking a flight on Priceline and i get a message "unable to confirm booking prices are always changing yada yada yada" after a few attempts i tried on another browser not linking through my ebates account and it worked just fine.
This is the second time I had this problem so i wouldnt call this a fluke, seems as if Priceline doesn't enjoy giving ebates their couple of percentage points.

I booked an airline ticket with Priceline, I've used them many times before and have always been happy.

I discovered at the airport that my ticket was actually an 'Economy Light' ticket which didn't entitle me to any luggage.

I was forced to pay $70 each way to check a bag.

I checked my confirmations, my emails etc, nowhere does it say anything about Economy Light.

I tried chatting and calling but got nowhere. They're saying that they can't refund me for a charge they didn't charge me.

I wouldn't have bought this ticket had I known it didn't come with any bags.

Any ideas? I would dispute the charge, but I'm wary because the actual charge for the baggage is from the airlines, not Priceline.

I've noticed OTAs have started updating their verbiage on bag fees (usually you have to click through a link to see it). It could be there was a disclaimer there about certain fares not including bags. Either way, it shouldn't hurt to try a dispute

They do write that baggage fees are not included, which I was fully aware of. But I always check the airline's baggage policy before booking and it clearly stated that a standard economy ticket includes one checked bag

I booked 7 tickets and noticed in addition to the ticket prices, they added a $105 charge for using PrineLine.com
Does that make sense? I didn't know they charged for booking online. Do they or is this a mistake?
thanks,

Priceline charges for trips beginning outside the US or RT on 2 different airlines. Do either of these apply? $105 still seems high. Was it a name your own price situation?

Flying from TLV to NYC.
There were two different airlines because of the stop overs - which they generated for me...
No name your own price situation. Just simple : Inserted multi destination, and dates, plus traveling with 6 other people. They did not mention anywhere they'd be charging me (unless in the fine print which I didn't read but that would be rude to do that..)

I mean if the fee was on the checkout page what's the issue?

In any event, Priceline usually charges when the origin is out of the US, which it was

There was no mention of the fee on the check out page. That's my surprise.

The total of both charges is more than the price quoted on the final check out page?

Looking at the receipt, I noticed it says Processing Fee is $15 per ticket (7 tickets.)
Mystery solved. I just didn't know they had processing fees.

That was my problem with the situation. It didn't say anything about processing fee -- at least one I didn't notice. Could be it was there. But the receipt I got in email says it.

I booked a flight via Priceline on August 6. i received a confirmation and all.
today i noticed that they did not charge my cc.
i logged onto the airline's website and the ticket seems confirmed.

Does it take them so long to process the payment? Or is this a mistake?

Any light on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Check if you have a charge from the airline direct.

It should not take that long for the charge to post, but who knows, it might still post. I never experienced something similar before, if it was me and I do not want any issues with my ticket Ill call PL and follow up.
