Pretty selfish to be curious about what happened when a fellow member is suffering.
Don't post it here.
He asked for advice. If he doesn't want to give details, then you're right, he shouldn't post it.

There was asimilar thread a while ago. Cant find it now.
Yes I remember it, but it was not involving 2 ddf'er.
It was a ddf'er who was asking advice on a case were he got scammed.

If it's anything CC related just call the CC company and deny the charge.

How much money?  You can file against John Doe in small claims and subpoena the ISP once you have IP addresses...

There was one involving 2 DDFers, but the "issue" was resolved so the OP deleted the thread.

*Should* you out the scam artist? Is that a serious question? You have an obligation to let the forum know who the perpetrator is.

I'm sorry for your loss, but to come here and ask for the forums help, but at the same time keep close to your vest the identity individual and details of the scam is, to me, the height of selfishness.

Unless he reported it to a mod and the mod will ban the scammer. Then no one else suffers and no one has to know who it was.

As DDF keeps on growing this is bound to happen.. Unfortunately the world is filled with scammers. Someone started a "who's trustworthy" post a while back with feedback... That might be the best option right now.

The name maybe should not be outed, until after the mod deals with him/her..
However it would be nice to know how much $$ was involved and what kinda happened..
