Idea for nature based trip for 2 days

Anyone have an idea for a nature based trip leaving from ny? I was thinking national parks but they all seemed to cold this time of year I was also looking at iceland but I feel that I would need more time there…

If you want an increase in nature from NYC you don't have to go far. Just leave the city and you'll see some remarkable nature, like grass, and maybe even a tree!

No jokes. When I moved to NJ, it was mind-blowing (I know most people wouldn't say that about NJ ).

Acadia is beautiful, but no way you're getting there or even to Bangor in 5 hours. The White Mountains in NH is beautiful and can indeed be reached in about 5 hours. I's probably too late for some of my favorite winter activities there (ice castles, ice skating on frozen lake at Nestlenook Farm), but snowmobiling with Northern Extreme is open through April.
