Anyway there's really no reason for an American to go to Eilat IMHO.  I don't really see the draw.

The best location is Israel fur scuba , some good bar's / night clubs , good water in the winter ,(  no VAT  ;) ) , Jet skis , etc.

Those are all reasons for Israelis, not for Americans visiting Israel.

I love Eilat for the snorkeling but I always feel bad leaving my trips in  'Israel' to go there.

Good luck with that!
When I was there a few years back, IIRC I was told there's like one or two pizza shops that are Mehadrin, v'zehu.

Aren’t all the Isrotel chains in Eilat have a decent hechsher??  (I was told that they are but cant guarantee.) If this is correct then you have quite a few nice restaurants to eat in.  Ranch House is an amazing restaurant, on par with a 5 star Manhattan restaurant, on the Boardwalk (Royal Beach)

The masgiach of the royal beach told me last time not to eat the meat in ranch house... all hotels have rabanut eilat, speak to mashgiach what you can eat... most times chicken is mehadrin...

Haleluja could be closed, as most people only ate there because it was mehadrin. once burgers bar became mehadrin they lost alot of clients.... food wasnt that good anyway

Thank you! I met with the Mashgiach of Agamim (isrotel) a few years ago he seemed pretty ehrlich and knew his stuff (well what do I know...). I didnt ask him about the ranch house but he was pretty confident that I can eat at his hotel.

I am sure you can eat there. The meat is normally Rabanut, so if you eat rabanut, then yes. If not, you might want to go into details with the mashgiach.
