I just called them about booking next week, and they told me that if I booked it now, they would confirm an upgrade to the suite w/ 2 bedrooms!
Rates are currently $225 including breakfast.

IME when looking for deals for Eilat your best off talking to a TA there. Or you can check Arkia.com. They use to have some decent deals.
Or Israir, they have packages including flights.

sorry, been having fun.

1) i am just an SPG Gold, but they responded to my email after 3-4 days saying they will try to accomodate me. when i came in they said they had upgraded me to the 2br with view, but note that i didnt get the jacuzzi suite (and didnt ask for it, didnt want to be too greedy).
Awesome, I am going to email them now asking for some perks if possible.

Hope you had a great time!

we had a great time, only problem was the water was too cold for swimming comfortably even in the 4 day stretch of 75-84 degree weather of our stay. there appears to be not heating, and the sun only hits the pool through about 1pm.

Why should it be different than any other hotel.

I stayed in August and it took nearly 2 weeks to post. Anyone stayed there recently that knows?

The max per SPG is a week.
If it takes longer, follow up with them.
My latest stay there needed back n forth w/ SPG to be credited.

Important: If you go to Eilat in the winter, make sure the pool is heated. If its 80 outside, like we had in Feb with a heated pool its amazing. But at night it cools off alot and if the pool isnt heated, its very cold during the day
The royal beach and dan does, cant tell you about others

What is the best way to drive to Eilat from Jerusalem?

Via the Dead Sea Route 90

or

Via the 6 to the 40 to the 90 (Ber Sheba, Mitzpe Ramon)

Defiantly  quicker 90 direct , However the 6 and the 4 are nicer (meaning lighting and have 2 lanes!)
